Are SEOs necessary

The basic fundamentals of a SEO is to provide the best visibility for your site, irrespective of content. No matter if you are an astronaut or a fish monger and you happen to have a website, these guys guarantee you a better visibility on the World Wide Web.

By visibility I mean human contact...in plain english visitors to your site. If you have opened up a business you need people to know that you have a business, which is offering a particular type of service and you want your products to be sold online. The SEO will make sure that your website is built in such a way that any person searching for a particular product will come across your website first or in the top ten, which is a lot considering the number of websites that exists in the web.

However here is the question everything is dependent on the search engine and the most popular search engine of all GOOGLE...no one knows the algorithm or in common terms the way google ranks and shows up a website when anyone is searching for a particular keyword. Everything is based on guesses and hunches. Some get lucky, some dont, but there is a market full of such people providing professional expertise on this area. Now how do they do it?

Try this as an experiment, you see title on the top of your page, try making it as specific as you can in relation to your content. Then comes the description of your website, write in a detailed description and keep it confined to a 120 words maximum. Leave away irrelevant data or keywords. Read the piece from Google, for further information, it will surely help you to understand better. Although it is an old post, however it's extremely important to know how google operates or views optimization as a concept and also in practice.

Are we Heading towards the Terminator Age!!

I was watching "Transformers" and just browsing and surfing and playing games at the same time....and a thought occurred to me. What I am doing right now.....was viewed as being impossible in less than 20years back, however this is reality now and more or less taken for granted. Everywhere I see new technological inventions are happening at a break neck speed. New stuff, deemed as science fiction becoming reality. We now-a-days are giving up on even communicating with the phone, instead are using social networking sites to keep in touch and fixing up appointments and dates to simply chill out. What is going to happen in the coming years? We are almost getting completely dependent upon technology to make our lives easier and get work done faster, however this over dependency on technology and gadgets makes me wonder if James Cameroon's doomsday scenario is the future which is awaiting us!! The logical output to this way of living is one day we will have robots doing all our chores and other things, which is already a given thing in many developed nations. Although at a nascent state, the machines are doing our laundry, cleaning, cutting, cooking, driving e.t.c. What if the next step to human evolution is extinction in the hands of machines built to serve. What if instead of a glorious future filled with deep space travel and getting first contact with E.T. we are heading at light speed towards the Terminator Age!!

I Hate Mathematics

Oooh! I can write ten books on this topic. Although before I start, I will take the scared vow of the Brotherhood of Math Hating People. It is as follows :

"I solemnly declare without fear of being called a dumbo, nimcompoop, moron. stupid e.t.c e.t.c that I hate maths. I hate it in all it's forms and practices. I despise those who find mathematics interesting and colourful. I hate all the people of all shapes and sizes and ages who love maths. And I will stand by my word till the last nanosecond of the breath left in my body and I will declare I hate Maths. All heil Biology"

Now I can start my piece on this disgusting subject ever. First of all who is this Aryabhatta. This dude invented or discovered or whatever the term Zero '0'. I mean come on, what was wrong with this bloke? How mentally unstable one has to be to discover something like this. Just Imagine!!!!

Anyways, moving on, let me ask you this question, can you imagne maths? I mean can you see it and imagine it or smell it or visualize it? I can see pictures in history books, I can imagine a lovely scenery after reading a nice piece in english literature, I can smell the fumes coming out of a test tube in a chemistry lab, but can you do any such things with maths???

It's all about numbers, angles, and god knows what else. I mean a train is going this way with this much speed and another one is coming in the opposite direction with this much speed. Find out the relative speed. WHY???? I MEAN COME ON!!!! Let the trains be.As long as they dont collide let them be man. What relative, felative, superlative speed you are talking about here. I mean what kind of a person will come up with something like this. To torture and tease human beings who just wants the trains TO BE!!! God!! I really never could solve this one or understand why it was so important to find the solution to this problem when the two trains are on different tracks altogether.

There is another type of maths, it is called geometry. Ooooh. this one is filthy!! I tell ya!!! Filthy!!! It can give you nightmares, daymares even in extreme cases afternoonmares too. Oh! How I suffered at the hands of this unforgiving beast. First of all, the part of my brain which is supposed to be dealing with shape and stuff is not very functional, second I dont understand angles and third I am bad at drawing stuff. Oh!! this one was like torture. How many days and weeks I prayed that I can get rid of this subject you people wont believe. What pain and anguish I suffered at the hands of this is beyond human understanding. I used to wish everyday that my geometry teacher will call in sick or she has expired or the school has declared that geomatry is out of syllabus. But none of this as you guessed it right never happened. From 6th till 10th standard I was subjected to the torture of this beast. So you can see it has a lasting effect as I have still not gotten over it.

The most unforgiving lot are the parents. It's like if a child is not good at maths he or she is an automatic dumbass and an object of shame. That is it. No further discussion. Straightway judgement is passed. Everytime you bring in the report card, first thing dad will take a look at is how much you scored in maths!!! WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What about the ten or eleven other subjects? Why do you have to take a look at that one subject in which I have invariably scored the lowest or have barely passed. And this thing can get worse if you have a brilliant in maths brother or sister or cousin you are like so dead. The humiliation is complete. The comparison will start and will never end. Even when you are thirty or forty they will still compare... oh! how good he or she was in maths so naturally their kids are also good...somehow indirectly pointing out that we have not much hope with your kids as they are going to be dumbasses as you are and for what....all this is because of MATHS!!!! Ooooooh! How much I hate it.

My Favorite Pastimes

I have often been intrigued by the term hobby!! I mean what kind of a term is that? HOBBY?? or when people ask you what are your HOBBIES??? It sounds very funny to my ears. So I have decided that it is better to write 'Past time' then Hobby.

Well before I start this I must mention something here, there is a reason for me to name my blog the way it is, I really do love to talk to people. Most of the times it is misunderstood and I am labeled as talkative, but I really find it extremely stimulating to talk to people from different backgrounds, different taste, different interest, I mean there is so much to know and I find conversing with someone is the best way to know more stuff, so as to speak. And one thing helps and that is that I am not judgmental, other than some extreme cases.

Lets see, I like watching movies, (WHO DOESN'T) apart from horror flicks, unfortunately I am going to be watching one very soon,( The Reaping). There is a reason for me not to like horror flick's and I can definitely for sure blame the whole thing on my Big Brother.... Yeah that is correct, he used to scare me to death every night with this phrase "DRACULA!!! ---THERE IS DRACULA HIDING OVER THERE, WAITING FOR YOU" Man you guys wont believe this I used to pray so that I wont have to get up in the middle of the night to take a piss. Such an A-hole!!! (This is said with fondness) Apart from that I like all genres of movies, sci-fi and adventure stuff are my favorites. My all time favorite ones are as follows: (This should be interesting I have watched a lot of movies)
  • Star Wars (Only the older ones, not the new episodes, too much of CGI.)

  • King Solomon's Mines
  • Aliens (First time I watched it, it was with my brother, I was hiding under the seat majority of the time, not Kiddin!!! )
  • The Good, Bad and the Ugly
  • Sholay (This one is my all time favorite Hindi movie)
  • Gupi Gayen Bagha Byen, the whole series, (This one is my all time favorite Bengali Movie.)
  • The Ghost and the Darkness
  • The Omen (Original version, cannot help it, it was nice)
  • Golmaal (The original) There are very few comedies made better than this.
  • Coming to America (Watch this one, it's funny)

  • Surviving Picasso
  • A Bridge too Far
  • Platoon
  • First Blood
  • Rocky4
  • Mission Impossible (I like the whole series so far)
  • Hearts In Atlantis (No this one is not about Atlantis)
  • North by Nothwest
  • The Fourth Protocol
  • Where Eagles Dare
  • Arsenic and Old Lace (This is an Old movie, but if you can watch it, this is one of the funniest movies I have seen, it is hilarious)
  • An Affair to Remember(An All time Classic)
  • Philadelphia
  • Bachelor Party (This one is cool, it has got Tom Hanks starring, entertaining for us i.e)
  • The Matrix
  • Enter the Dragon (All time favorite martial arts movie)
  • My Own Private Idaho
  • Point Break
  • Young Guns
  • Unforgiven
I will keep on adding to this, as I will remember more, for now this is it.

My Fellow Freaks!!!!

I am a self confessed freak.I dont feel shame for confessing this. I mean I am different, and everyone different is viewed as a freak. Check this dude out. Necrophobic He is someone I know and he is very curious about DEATH!!! Now one might say what a freak!! And this is the reason I am mentioning his blog here, coz he is different and so a fellow freak.

Everyone would like to see themselves as being different, but not everyone is. Hidden inside us is the same urge to be praised and worshipped and be the most popular guy in the group. But not everyone notices one thing and that is, the ones who actually gets to become that crowned jewel is someone who was once called a FREAK!!! And the reason for people following him or admiring him is that he is at the core DIFFERENT FROM THE REST...A FELLOW FREAK.

Life in a Cubicle

I remember when as a kid, growing up and I used to watch all the adults hurrying up in the morning to their respective workplaces and used to wonder like, wow it must be so cool to be in there shoes. Dad's and his friends workplaces were like this big buildings, enclosed in glass and they are like sitting in an air conditioned room, on a very comfy looking chair, and I used to feel " My God! When I grow up, I want something like this". I remember this, coz I used to get pampered like anything whenever I used to go the office. However now when I have grown up and working now....my worklife and workspace consists of a cubicle. I am not complaining that much ...becoz it is a cool office, honestly ..I mean we have got Mcdonalds!!!!!

Do we have to work?

This is a question that is like there in my mind for quite sometime. I mean, I dont understand, why do we have to work? Is it like for paying bills, getting food and all? There should be something more about the motivation to work then just that. For some I know for fact it is about recognition, position, money and all that stuff, however my fundamental question is why work?

Everyday when I come to office, I see so many people, battling rain, dust, heat to get to their workplaces or to get back home and I wonder like is this the reason why we are alive? To do this, day in and day out? Is there nothing else that we can do with the time that has been given to us?

I mean come on!!! When you are dead, you are like dead. Doesn't really matter's whether ten thousand people came to your funeral or just one...YOU ARE DEAD!! GET THE POINT!!! You are not likely to hover around your dead body and see how cool you look when you are dead!!

Here I think I should let you all know about my work experience!! I have worked in the finest companies that my sweet country can offer and as it would happen I was happiest working in the one which was the least recognized. Just look at my EX LIST: WIPRO, ACCENTURE AND SOME OTHERS....I was happy working for one company it was like a small family of friends, where I got paid peanuts as salary, however it was real fun working there. The bunch of us was coooool!!!!!
